Join us for a long social ride exploring the Sammamish Lake and enjoying a nice eat break at the PCC Market in Issaquah. This ride will be a mix of paved trails and roads. We start at Log Boom Park in Kenmore. We will ride the following bike trails: Burke Gilman Trail, Sammamish River Trail, Marymoor Connector Trail, and Sammamish Lake Trail. At about mile 24 we will stop to enjoy some socializing and food at the PCC Market in Issaquah. This is a Moderate pace of 14 to 16 MPH.
Please be equipped with a working white headlight and red rear tail light (steady mode preferred) which are required to participate.
Let's meet next to the restrooms at Log Boom Park located at 17415 61st Ave NE in Kenmore. Please do not park inside the park. Instead park on the road located right outside the park gates on NE 175th Street. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will stay together and regroup often at the top of hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms and/or water: The start will have restrooms at the Log Boom Park. There are restrooms and water at the Wilmot Gateway Park miles 5.5 and 42.5, Sixty Acres miles 9.5 and 38.5, PCC Market mile 24, and Sammamish Landing Park mile 32.5.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
