Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer. Be there, ready to go at 9:00. Come Early to use the bathroom, and/or buy snacks and drinks. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
HOOA! We start out making our way to the Enumclaw Osceola where there are open farmlands and pastures, and God willing, glorious views of the mountain and foothills. From there, we ride east to the Green River Gorge one-way bridge. The bridge deck sits about 300 feet above, creating a stunning view of the river, trees, and boulders below. After a quick break to take pictures, we'll climb out of the Gorge and head to Black Diamond Bakery for our only scheduled Food and Coffee break. Then descend down the Kummer Hill (Flaming Geyser) to climb back up the 212th hill. Finally, we'll tackle the Lake Money smith rollers and descend "Wheeee"
This ride is listed as Brisk, 16-18 on the flats. However, we will climb and descend hills at our own pace and regroup. We'll also limit our speed on the Les Gove Park multi-use path to the legal 10 MPH.
Restrooms are available at the start. Our only planned food and bathroom stop is at the Bakery mile 28. Two other stops, if nature calls, at miles 19 and 32
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If its raining, we will cancel the ride. If there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or events, we'll find a way around them in real time. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us, HOOA!
