Hills Out Of Auburn! Bakery Nouveau (Brisk)

Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer in the northwest parking lot. Be there, ready to go at 9:00. Come early if you need to use the bathroom or buy snacks and drinks.  We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

HOOA! We start with the Cemetery Hill climb to get up and over Federal Way. Then we work our way north along the Puget Sound for views of Islands and (God willing) Mountain views. Then we ride through quiet Normandy Park and drop down to Three Tree Point. Then climb out of Three Tree Point to our lunch stop at Bakery Nouveau. Then we make our way back through Normandy Park followed by "just a couple more climbs" to make our way back to Auburn.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup. Otherwise we stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. Our only planned stop is at the bakery at mile 22. However, if there are nature emergencies, we can adjust the route at Des Moines Marina around miles 13 and 28, 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather is steadily rainy I will cancel the ride.  If there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, we will reroute and keep on keeping on. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
