Midweek Eastside On Wheels - Two Bridges (Moderate)
Registration Now Open
... of 10 spots remaining
This will likely be the last MEOW ride of the year due to the shortening daylight hours and the increasing chance of wet Pacific Northwest weather. To celebrate a successful and incident-free season, let's have an after-ride party! Refreshments are provided.
Let's meet at the South Kirkland Park and Ride—click on "(map)" link under Location to get an exact meeting spot. Be there, ready to pounce at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This 21-mile ride features 1,320 feet of elevation gain, taking us through Bellevue (via 108th Ave), the Mercer/I-90 Trail, Lake Washington Blvd, and the SR 520 Trail. Along the way, we'll enjoy captivating views of Lake Washington and the autumn scenery!
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will REGROUP at the top of major hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum.
Restrooms are NOT available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 7.6 (Fergolia Field), and optionally near the end of ride at mile 20.3 (Kitchen & Market).
Required Gear & Rider Responsibility
- Lights: A good headlight and a red taillight are required. It will likely be dark by the end of the ride. You may not be permitted to ride if you do not have proper lights.
- Fenders: As weather conditions can change quickly, fenders are recommended. They should be long enough to keep the rider behind you dry.
- Self-Sufficiency: Please be prepared to be self-sufficient. This includes knowing how to handle minor mechanical issues (like fixing a flat) and carrying the necessary tools. You are responsible for your own navigation and safe return should you become separated from the group. We strongly recommend downloading the route to a GPS device or phone. Have a backup plan in case you cannot complete the ride, such as a charged cell phone or an ORCA card for public transit. While we regroup at designated points, ride leaders cannot wait indefinitely for individuals who fall significantly behind.
Cancellations
If weather conditions meet the cancellation criteria or if there are other unforeseen hazardous conditions, the ride will be canceled. All registered riders will be notified via email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start time, the ride leaders will not be at the meeting location. Please check for updates before you leave for the ride.

- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
