... of 10 spots remaining
Join us for a 41-mile ride from Redmond through Kirkland, Bellevue, and Issaquah. Let’s meet at Sixty Acres Park in the southeast parking lot for a 10 a.m. departure. We’ll start with the required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
There are portable restrooms at the start, and we’ll have a stop at Kirkland Waterfront Park (mile 7), and at Sammamish Landing Park (mile 34) on the return trip. Lunch / coffee will be at Panera Bread in Issaquah (mile 24).
We’ll be riding on the (unpaved) Kirkland Eastrail for about three miles.
We’ll ride at a Steady Pace of 12-14 MPH on the flats when there is no wind. Our goal will be to stay together as best we can, and we’ll make sure we're together at the top of climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum.
In case of separation from the group due to flat tires or other problems, riders should download the route file into a GPS device or have a cue sheet. Cue sheets are not available at the start. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
If you realize you won't be able to make it to the ride after all, please cancel your registration (at least a few hours before ride start time if possible) to open spots for other riders. Click on the green "Register or Cancel" button and follow the prompts.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above, or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride, and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
