Gas Works to Redmond Ridge...with Coffee! (Steady)

We meet at the east end of the parking lot in Gas Works Park.  Be there, ready to go at 9:00AM for the required safety briefing.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

Gas Works...with Coffee! kicks off October with a 53 mile loop to Redmond Ridge. From Gas Works we'll head north through the U-District towards Lake City and Sheridan Beach, pick up the Burke-Gilman for a few miles, and then head east through Woodinville en route to Cottage Lake. Our coffee break is at the Starbucks in Redmond Ridge.  We make our return via Union Hill Rd., Redmond, the 520 Trail, and finally the BGT back to the start. There might be a few hills.

Bathrooms are available at the start/end at Gas Works Park, at Log Boom Park (MP 11) and at Starbucks in Redmond Ridge (MP 30).

About the pace - We will be aiming for the steady range (12-14 MPH on the flats), but the front of the group may be hitting the higher end of that range.  We plan to start as one group, but if a significant gap forms, the sweeping ride leader or float will take over as ride leader for the second group.  We will climb and descend hills at our own pace and regroup as needed.  

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone, ID, cash and/or credit card, ORCA card, water.  You may also want to bring a snack if you don't plan to buy anything to eat at the break.  

There is a always a chance of rain in the PNW.  Check the weather beforehand, dress appropriately and please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leaders will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, the Ride Leaders will not be at the start location. Please check your email Sunday morning before leaving for the ride.
