Hills Out Of Auburn! Lake Tapps and the Gorge (Vigorous)
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
... of 15 spots remaining
Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer in the northwest parking lot. Be there, ready to go at 8:30. Come early if you need to use the restroom or buy snacks and drinks. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
HOOA! This week, we climb up to Alan York Park at Lake Tapps to hopefully catch a view of the mountain in the backdrop. Then its a full-send descent back to Auburn down Kersey Way. We then climb up through the Muckleshoot Reservation to make our way across the Osceola of Enumclaw where there are vast farmlands and colors of Autumn painting the scene. Then deep into SE King County to drop into the Green River Gorge for some jaw dropping photos of the chasm filled with evergreens, boulders, and waterfalls. After we climb out of the gorge, we stop at Black Diamond Bakery for a well-deserved pastry. From here, we will tackle the rollers of Lake Moneysmith and wind our way back to Auburn.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace. We will regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms snacks and drinks are available at the start.
Restroom at Allan York Park (mile 13)
Restroom at Deep Lake (mile 37)
Restroom Pastries and Drinks at Black Diamond Bakery (mile 46)
