North Seattle Greenways (Steady)
Registration Now Open
... of 15 spots remaining
Enjoy a scenic tour of North Seattle's Greenways! We'll start at Gas Works Park then make our way along the Burke Gilman until we climb up towards Wedgewood with a scenic photo-op at a one-of-a-kind glacial erratic boulder. Then down to Ravenna, along the beautiful Green Lake, climb to the Zoo and zoom back down to Ballard. Another climb through Loyal Heights greenways takes us to the majestic views of Sunset Hill.
Be at Gas Works, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Restrooms are available at the start. At this modest distance, we won't have any official additional restroom stops along the way.
This is a Steady Ride (12-14 mph). We'll climb and descend hills at our own pace and will regroup occasionally.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
So much to enjoy on such a short ride, you can't go wrong on a Sunday morning!
