Mighty-O Donuts Wallingford/Green Lake - Leschi Meander (Leisurely)

... of 10 spots remaining
This meandering ride will take us on some fun curvy roads through pretty forested Seattle parks. It will include my secret short-bumpy-semi-paved-slightly-steep-forested hidden trail. Our return trip will save us elevation by riding through Ravenna Park. Fat tires or a gravel bike won't be necessary but fat tires may make you feel more confident on some sections.
Let's meet at Mighty-O Donuts in Wallingford (Green Lake/Tangletown). Be ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Free street parking is available. Please do not park in the two hour parking spots. Also bus number 62 will drop you off in front of Mighty-O Donuts.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup frequently. This is a no drop ride! We ride to have fun!
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 9 and there are multiple other options for bathrooms along the way.
We’ll also stop for coffee/donuts back at Mighty-O Donuts at the end of the ride.
If you want to grab a donut before or after the ride, bring your Bicycle Benefits Sticker for a 10% discount.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!

Event Announcements
Update: We will be stopping for a 30 minute break for desert or lunch items and to use the bathroom 1/2 way into the ride at about mile 10 at Bright Spot at 2809 Mt Baker Dr S. We will either eat in the park next to the restaurant or eat at the restaurant. The food is yummy.
Reminder: we are riding on the dirt path through Ravenna Park on our way back from the ride. I will be on my skinny tires. But if you prefer - use your gravel tires. There is some very light gravel at the end of the park.
We should be back by 1 pm but could take a little longer with the added break.
See you soon!
Laurie
