Mid-Lake Washington Loop - Aubrey Davis Park Start (Steady)

Let's meet at Aubrey Davis Park on Mercer Island. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.  

First we will cross Lake Washington on the I-90 Trail and stop at the viewpoint over the I-90 tunnel.  There is a second photo op at Lakeview Park part way up the climb from the lake.  Then it's up to the Arboretum where we will take a slower, more scenic trail (observing speed limits, occasionally 10 mph).  We cross back over Lake Washington on the 520 Trail and stop for the third photo op which looks back over the lake to Seattle.  Our lunch stop at Belle Pastry will be about 12:30 pm.  Then we ride through beautiful Beaux Arts Village to the I-90 Trail and back over to the start on Mercer Island

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup at the tops to stay together.  We'll limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum. 

Restrooms are available at the start.  We’ll also stop for snacks/restrooms at Belle Pastry in Downtown Bellevue at mile 13.5.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
