Hills Out Of Auburn! Deeper into SE King County (Vigorous)

Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer. Be there, ready to go at 8:30. Come early if you need to buy snacks and water, or use the restroom. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

HOOA! We start out with an 11 mile warm up on Green Valley road. Climb up Kummer. And then we go deep into the trees. Climb over Black Diamond. Drop into and climb out of Green River Gorge. Drop into and climb out of Kanaskat State Park. Climb up and descend Courtney Road. Climb into and descend out of Selleck. Then we make our way to the Lake Moneysmith rollers, and the super fast Lake Holmes curvy descent Wheeee!

We are a vigorous group, riding 18-20mph on flat road, without wind. The flat section on this route is Green Valley in the beginning, everything following is climbs and descents, which we take at our own pace and then we regroup. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

Theres a porta-potty at mile 11. Bathroom and water at mile 25. Our final stop is at Ravensdale Market (snacks and hydration) at mile 43, next to Ravensdale Park (bathrooms). 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
