Hills Out Of Auburn: 7 Climbs to Bakery Nouveau (Vigorous)

Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer in the northwest parking lot ready to go at 8:30. Come early if you need to use the restroom or buy snacks and water. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

HOOA! We're going to earn the bakery on this one! Cemetary Hill, Redondo Climb, Des Moines Marina Climb, Normandy Park Climb, and Three Tree Point Climb, all before Bakery Nouveau. The bakery has a variety of pastry treats, coffee, and solid sandwiches.  You'll need this "refueling" station because the hills are only half over. We return the way we came, with a couple of changes for a total of 3300 feet of climbing in just 47 miles. We are a Vigorous group (18-20 mph on the flats) but as you can see in the hill profile, there are no Flats! So, we will attack the climbs and descend the hills at our own pace then regroup, and repeat

We will stop for a restroom breaks at Redondo at miles 10 and 36. The Bakery stop is at mile 24. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
