Hills Out Of Auburn, Allan York, Green River Gorge Loop (Vigorous)

Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer in the northwest parking lot. Be there, ready to go at 8:30. Come early if you need a restroom, water or snacks. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

HOOA! We start with a 5 mile flat warm up before our first climb to Lake Tapps. 1st stop for a bathroom at Allan York Park (mile 12) Then, we ride through the pastures and farm-lands of Bonney Lake and Buckley. If we are lucky, the clouds will break, and Mt Rainier will grace us with her beauty. We'll take the Foothills Trail into Enumclaw. We'll stop at Safeway for a quick bathroom, water and snack break (mile 24). Then into the back country and deep woods of SE King County to visit Deep Lake (mile 30) for an optional bathroom break, Green River Gorge for some pictures, and our final stop at Black Diamond Bakery for bathroom, water, and a snack (mile 39) Then descend to the Lake Holems / Lake Moneysmith rollers. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup, otherwise we stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
