Let's meet at Heritage Park Parking Lot. Be ready to ride at the time listed above. We will start with the required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. If you plan to join enroute please contact the ride leader in advance to arrange for a safety briefing.
We ride north to Bothell and Canyon Park to check out the ducks at Big Duck Pond. We have a reststop at Blythe Park @ mile 12.5 and a food/reststop at Beardslee Plaza @ mile 20 before returning straight to the start. There are hills, but we climb them with a commensurate level of effort of a steady pace and regroup at the top. Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will stop for restrooms/water at Juanita Beach Park @ mile 1.5. Parking is limited at Heritage Park but there is ample room on Waverly Way adjacent to the park.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
