Ride from Wallingford Zoka's Coffee to Free Yoga in Ballard Sunset Hill Park & Back (Leisurely)

Let's meet at Zoka's Coffee - Wallingford. Please be there, ready to go at 8:00 a.m. to attend the required safety briefing. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate in the ride.

Free street parking.  Do not park in the two hour parking spots!

What to expect:

A lovely social neighborhood ride and 75 minutes of Free outdoor yoga provided by Ballard Health Club with a view of the Olympic Mountains and Golden Gardens. (Yoga is all levels yoga. New to yoga? Join us!) Note: We need to be at Sunset Hill Park by 9:15 a.m. to set up our mats for 9:30 a.m. yoga.

45 minutes to 60 Minutes Lunch Break: Ride to Shilshole after yoga and eat lunch (that you bring or purchase at Un Bien) https://www.unbienseattle.com/ We will eat lunch overlooking the beach across from Un Bien where we are likely to see herons taking wing. 

After lunch: Ride to the Locks and walk (required) our bikes through. You will see lovely gardens, salmon and sealions. Then we exit the locks into Magnolia and back to Zoka's to end the ride. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup at the top of hills.

Restrooms and water available at the start, and water and restrooms are available at lunch and at the Ballard Locks. 

For yoga class bring:

A yoga mat or towel, sunblock, baseball style hat and warm extra clothes (Park is breezy even in hot weather.) Bike shorts, tights and bike jersey/t-shirt suffice for yoga clothing. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If it rain or unexpected events, or hazardous road conditions occur the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, the Ride Leader will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
