... of 10 spots remaining
Join us for a ride from Edmonds City Park on a trip that includes Edmonds, Innis Arden and Meadowdale We will ride at a Moderate Pace 14-16 MPH (on level ground)!
Leaving Edmonds City Park we'll ride north to take in views of the Sound and Olympics before turning north toward Innis Arden. The route then takes us through Innis Arden and Meadowdale before returning to Edmonds. On our way back to Edmonds there will be a nice downhill on Meadowdale Beach Road. We'll limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Let's meet at Edmonds City Park and please be ready to ride at 9:30. (Please use the gravel parking lot on the right near the bottom of the hill). We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup after hills . If maintaining the pace is difficult for a rider, rider may have to continue the ride on their own.
This route does not have a stop for coffee or food so please bring any necessary snacks with you to enjoy during breaks or regroups.
Restrooms and water are available at the start. There are also restrooms at mile 18.4 along the route.
Be prepared with the equipment and know-how to take care of your own flats and mechanicals, and a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't take you there (ORCA card or someone to call). If you have a problem the group may stop briefly to make sure you will be OK on your own, but we may not wait for repairs to be completed. Please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
