Women & Non-Binary Spring into Summer Ride and Social (Steady)
Event has already happened.
... of 30 spots remaining
Please note, this is a Women and Non-binary ride only. WNB rides are only for individuals that identify as a woman or non-binary, including transgender women and cisgender women. Male identifying riders can support this group best by finding other appropriate rides on the Free Group Rides calendar and leaving this space for WNB riders.
Join us for the Cascade Women and Non-Binary Program Spring into Summer Ride and social event! We will start at 9:30 a.m. with a helmet decorating party with coffee and donuts, then a ride starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by social time and lunch/drinks at about 12:30 p.m.
If you prefer to come to only the helmet decorating, bike ride or only the social event, or a combination of any of them, that's OK too, but you must register for the ride if you intend on riding.
The ride pace will be about 12-14 mph on the flats. We will climb and descend at our own pace and our goal will be to stay together. Most of the ride is on the Burke Gilman trail and the 520 bridge trail, with an extra loop on quiet roads around Medina. If you are unsure of your pace or are a new rider, please contact the ride leader to determine if the pace would be appropriate.
Please be ready to ride at 10:30 a.m. sharp! We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. First timers to the club may find it hard to locate us at Magnuson Park, please allow for a little extra time.
There are parking and restrooms available at the club. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
If a rider has a mechanical issue, the group will stop to assist the rider. If there is a major mechanical issue preventing a roadside fix, the ride leader will try to ensure the rider has a safe means to return to the start.
Note: This ride will be canceled if there is rain or dangerous weather conditions that affect the safety of the ride. If the ride is canceled, you will receive an email notification. If the ride is canceled more than 2 hours in advance, the ride leaders will not be at the start at 10:30 a.m., but we'll still have the social event at 12:30 p.m.
We hope you can join us!
