Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
... of 10 spots remaining
Let's meet at the Juanita Beach Park. Be there, ready to go at 9:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We are going to do the Two Bridge loop of Lake Washington.
This is a "rain or shine" ride. Someone - perhaps just me - is going to do this ride!
We will stay within the rated "Steady" speed for level riding. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. Also at Marina Park in Kirkland, on Mercer Island, just north of Leschi, and again Marina Park on the way back.
We will stop at the Leschi Starbucks to recharge.
Headlights and tail lights are not required, but the ride leader believes it never hurts to have lights on your bike. A rear view mirror doesn't hurt either.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: It is remotely possible that the ride might be cancelled due to completely miserable conditions. But, it is May. And the conditions will not be miserable. However, if the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
Did I mention that the start time is 9:00 AM?
We hope you can join us!
