TREATS: Kirkland, Mercer Island, U. District. Note 9:30 AM start (Steady)

Join us for a ride from Kirkland through Bellevue, Mercer Island, and Leschi to the Saint Bread Bakery on Portage Bay. Let’s meet at Heritage Park for a 9:30 a.m. departure.

We will start with the required safety briefing and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

There are no facilities at the start, but we’ll be stopping at mile 0.3 to take advantage of the restrooms at Kirkland Waterfront Park, and at mile 12 on Mercer Island.  We’ll have a half-hour coffee / lunch break at mile 20.

Our goal will be to stay together as best we can, and we will make sure we're together at the top of longer climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). 

In the event of separation due to flat tires or other problems, riders should download the route file into a GPS device or have a cue sheet. Cue sheets are not available at the start. Routes will include local trails with speed limits, typically 15 MPH. Riders must stay within the speed limits. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above, or the conditions are icy, or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
