Ride start: We meet at the Matthews Beach parking lot. Please be ready to ride at 10:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. There are restrooms and water at Matthews Beach Park. You can join the ride at the UW Rainier Vista Plaza. This secondary start will be around 11:30 am. (Best guess) Please let the ride leader know if you plan to take advantage of this option.
Find It/Fix It : We will ride south on the Burke-Gilman Trail to the intersection with 8th Ave NW. During the trip south the group will stop at the intersections that have too much paint on them and submit a group of Find It/Fix It reports to Seattle Department of Transportation. There will be a number of stops and each of them will take about 5 minutes.
Special Instructions: Please have the Find It/Fix it app installed on your phone if you want to submit an issue.
Route: Come and help document maintenance issues on the intersection on the middle portion portion of the Burke Gilman Trail in Seattle. The terrain is flat.
Cue sheets: No cue sheets provided. Stay together ride.
Be prepared: Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Parking: Free parking at Matthews Beach parking lot.
Weather cancellation: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
