Kirkland Social: Bellevue-Rose Hill (Steady)

Let's meet at Heritage Park Parking Lot. Be ready to ride at the time listed above. We will start with the required safety briefing and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. If you plan to join enroute please contact the ride leader in advance to arrange for a safety briefing.

We ride south from Heritage Park on Lake Washington Blvd and turn west onto the 520 Trail. The route turns south onto Evergreen Point Drive and onto a rest stop at Meydenbauer Bay Park @ mile 9.1  The route continues south to Beaux Arts and onto the Mountain to Sound Greenway before turning north onto the trail along Bellevue Way to the food/reststop at Dilettante Mocha Cafe @ mile 14.1  The return route is through downtown Bellevue and Bridle Trails, Rose Hill and Norkirk neighborhoods.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace and will regroup when necessary. Riders should be able to sustain a 12-14 mile per hour pace on the flats with a commensurate level of effort on the hills.

Restrooms and water are not available at the start, but we will stop at Marina Bay Park @ mile 0.3. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring are a phone, ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, the Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
