Let's Visit Mud Mountain (Brisk)

Let's meet at the South East parking lot of the Maple Valley Fred Meyer. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

Get ready for a fabulous 50-mile spin through the dreamy backroads of Enumclaw, Black Diamond, and Maple Valley! 🌿✨ We’ll take on the iconic Mud Mountain climb (yes, it’s a bit of a beast—but there’s a restroom break and bragging rights at the top!). Then we’ll swoop down into Black Diamond for more climbing and a sweet little stop at the beloved Black Diamond Bakery—because pastries are always the highlight of the ride. ☕️🥐 Expect strong legs, gorgeous views, and a brisk pace that’ll leave you feeling like a total boss on wheels. Let’s roll! 🚴‍♀️💨

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup occasionally.

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms at mile 22 in Mud Mountain. There's another optional restroom stop at Nolte State Park. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at the very famous and picturesque Black Diamond Bakery at mile 42.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride. Also note that registration ends two hours before the beginning of the ride. This is to make sure I come fully prepared for the registrants.
