Gravel: Tolt Pipeline and Redmond Watershed (Moderate)

Join us for a challenging grunt of a gravel and dirt trails ride.  This is a Moderate pace of 14 to 16 MPH. Bikes should have tires that can ride safely on gravel and dirt trails. This a very hilly route through the scenic trails of Tolt Pipeline, PSE, Redmond Watershed, and Sammamish River trails.  This ride offers a variety of trails ranging from paved trails along a river, wide gravel trails along farmlands, and forested double wide single track. 

Let's meet at the Northshore Athletic Field large gravel lot facing the Sammamish River Trail and picnic benches by the porta-potty. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We will stay together and regroup often at the top of hills.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

Restrooms and/or water: The start has portable toilets but no water. Redmond Watershed park at about mile nine has restrooms with running water and a water fountain.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
