Lake Youngs Gravel Ride (Steady)
Event has already happened.
... of 10 spots remaining
Registration deadline was 3/27/2025 7:00am
Come join us for a short gravel ride around Lake Youngs. There are loose gravel and muddy sections on the trail, you would need either a mountain bike or a gravel bike with wide grippy tires of 32 mm or wider. Depending on weather and mood of the group, ride leader is open to ride around the lake twice.
Let's meet at the trailhead at the address above at 9am. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently.. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH). Riders should expect our average speed to be below 12mph given the trail conditions.
Restrooms (porta-potties) are available about 2 miles from the start. There will be no other planned coffee/restroom stops along the route.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
