No, not that kind of liquid lunch. With all of the great food choices in the Greater Puget Sound area, and all of the water that we are graced with, there's every opportunity to enjoy dining with a water view! We'll meet up in the Renton City Hall lower parking lot. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Marination Ma Kai serves informal Hawaiian fusion cuisine at the site of the old Seacrest Boathouse on the west shore of Elliott Bay. Seacrest Park is also the west terminus of the West Seattle Water Taxi, and offers classic views of Downtown Seattle. We'll get there by riding a flat 15 miles through Tukwila and South Park. After a leisurely lunch stop, we'll roll back the same way. This is a Moderate paced ride; as they say in Hawaii, "You go too fast, you got no style".
We will stay together on the hills - I'm kidding, there really aren't any. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH). Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will have a rest stop 4 miles in at Foster Golf Links.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
See you on Sunday!
