Cloudy or Rainy! Table Tennis Sight Seeing! (Brisk)

Let's meet at Gas Works Park. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
No matter if it’s raining or if it just happens to be cloudy, we are riding to 5 different areas where you can play table tennis, otherwise known as ping pong! Keep in mind that we will not be playing, this ride is to simply show everyone the locations in which they can play.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will stay together on this social ride. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Keep in mind that the Seattle Arboretum has a 10MPH posted limit, which we will not go over.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 13 at the PCC Community Market. We will take a 30 minute coffee stop at Cafe Weekend (mile 14).
Other things to keep in mind:
- Our first climb is at the very beginning of the ride. (get to the start early, to warm up your legs)
- We will need to dismount our bikes at mile 10 for a very brief moment.
- Leaving the Arboretum Trail at mile 11 we may need to use crosswalks to continue onto Lake Washington Blvd.
- Our coffee stop has a maximum occupancy of 4, some riders might need to sit outside.
- Riding through downtown we will encounter a handful of traffic lights.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
