**CANCELLED** Ride Up North, Centennial Trail, Snohomish to Lake Stevens (Leisurely)

Join us for a ride on the beautiful, paved Centennial Trail, going north 10 miles to Lake Stevens where we can stop for coffee. The ride is 19 flat miles long and our pace will be 10-12 mph, about the minimum a rider should strive for if they hope to do a 2-day STP.    This is a Zone 2 ride: aerobic/endurance training (you should be able to talk to your neighbor without gasping) or a great recovery ride if you have been riding hard in the days before.  Your Ride Leader is woefully out of shape and so you shouldn't have a problem keeping up.

Let's meet at the Snohomish Public Library parking lot and please be ready to ride at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

The library restrooms open at 10 and there are restrooms at Machias (5 miles), the turnaround at Lake Stevens, and Machias coming back (15 miles).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
