UPDATED Start Time: West Seattle Clockwise Loop with Troll Sighting (Leisurely)

Join us for a short, fun clockwise loop that includes several West Seattle gems like Alki Point, the troll at Lincoln Park, the Love Rock, and peaceful neighborhood greenways. This is a reverse of the loop we did last week. 

Free parking is available along Harbor Avenue on both sides of Seacrest Park. Let's meet at the West Seattle Water Taxi Pier (Marination Ma Kai). Be there ready to go by 11am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

While the majority of the ride is flat with some rolling hills, there are some gradual climbing portions in the first half with a payoff in majestic views. We will climb hills at our own pace, regrouping at key points along the way to catch our breath and make sure everyone is doing ok. There is a .5 mile packed gravel portion by the Lincoln Park seawall that we may end up walking if there are many pedestrians there.

Restrooms are available at the start, around the west side of the restaurant by the outdoor showers. There are also restrooms at mile 8, Lincoln Park.

Bring a spare tube and tools/knowledge to fix a flat. If you have electronic shifters, make sure they are charged up. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
