West Seattle Coffee Loop with Troll Sighting (Leisurely)

Join us for a short, fun loop that includes several West Seattle gems like Alki Point, the troll at Lincoln Park, the Love Rock, Dubsea Coffee, and peaceful neighborhood greenways.

Let's meet at the West Seattle Water Taxi Pier (Marination Ma Kai). Be at Seacrest Pier, ready to go by 10am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

While the majority of the ride is flat with some rolling hills, there is a 2 mile uphill portion (4.4% average grade) around mile 7 which can be a bit challenging for those not used to climbing. We will climb hills at our own pace, regrouping at key points along the way to catch our breath and make sure everyone is doing ok. 

Restrooms are available at the start, around the west side of the restaurant by the outdoor showers. There is a stop along the way for restrooms/coffee/snacks at mile 10, Dubsea Coffee.

Bring a spare tube and tools/knowledge to fix a flat. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
