Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer. Be there, ready to go at the 10:00am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
HOOA! We will start out climbing immediately up Cemetary Hill over Federal Way to Redondo. Then climb out of Redondo and make our way north to Des Moines Marina. Then make our way back to Auburn Fred Meyer for the bathroom and water refill (26 mile mark). Then we head out for our 2nd loop to Lake Morton and Black Diamond Bakery (44 mile mark). This is our longer break for a cookie, pastry, or donut, coffee and water. Then to the Lake Holmes rollers followed by the curvy descent named "WHEEE!"
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup, otherwise we stay together.
Restrooms are available at the Auburn Fred Meyer at mile 0 and mile 26. our 2nd stop will be at the Bakery at mile 44 for a nice rest to refuel and refill.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
