Let's meet at the Lowell Riverfront Park Trail in Everett at the picnic table in front of the parking lot near the Snohomish River. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This ride has views of Puget Sound, the Olympics and the Cascades. We'll ride along the Mill Town Trail in Everett and both sides of the Snohomish River. Our bakery stop for coffee and snacks is at the Snohomish Bakery. This route is mostly flat with some minor hills.
Parking: Parking is free in the gravel lot at Lowell Riverfront Trail.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available at the start with a sani-can or 100-yard ride down to the boat launch if needed. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at American Legion Memorial Park (mile 7) and at the Snohomish Bakery (mile 20.6).
Pace: We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on the Lowell Riverfront Trail at the ride start below the legal maximum as this is frequently used by parents with children. We will limit our speed on the Mill Town Trail to the legal maximum of 15 MPH or slower as this path has driveways, roads and a blind corner.
Navigation: The planned route sheet is at the link labeled Route Map. Please, bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own, as the ride becomes self-led for those who choose to ride ahead of or behind the group.
Cancellation Process: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above, if smoke levels are too high, or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
Repairs: Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat and the know-how to take care of your own flats and minor mechanical problems.
We hope you can join us!
