... of 10 spots remaining
We'll meet at Bremerton East Park Skate Park (free parking), where my white Sprinter awaits you. Be there, ready to go, at the time listed above. We will then begin with the required safety briefing and then rollout. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This cycling route offers a pleasant and straightforward ride around Dyes Inlet. Starting from the meeting point, the route extends to the Port of Brownsville, proceeds towards Silverdale, then curves down Chico, follows the west side of the inlet, and wraps back to the East Bay Skate Park parking lot.
I expect wet, perhaps even light, intermittent rainy weather this weekend. It's an excellent opportunity to try out your cycling rain gear!
The image above captures a moment during an early morning bike ride at the Silverdale Waterfront Park.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, regroup frequently, and limit our speeds on multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH), ensuring a safe and enjoyable ride for all.
The ride will last up to three hours and will likely be shorter. Restrooms are available at the beginning of the route in East Park Skate Park. As needed, restrooms and water breaks are available at the following mileposts: 6.5 in Port of Brownsville, 11.2 in Silverdale Waterfront Park, and 20.0 in Cafe Corvo. Additionally, coffee may be purchased at a few of these mileposts mentioned earlier.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. If the roads are wet, please have full fenders, or you may be asked to ride at the group's rear.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride, and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, the Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
