Please note, this is a Women and Non-binary ride only. W&NB rides are only for individuals that identify as a woman or non-binary, including trans-gender women and cis-gender women. Male identifying riders can support this group best by finding other appropriate rides on the Free Group Rides calendar and leaving this space for W&NB riders.
If you register but are unable to ride, please cancel your registration so others may attend.
We will start at the 60 Acres parking lot behind the open field and ride a 30 mile route at a Steady pace of 12-14 mph. We will ride a mix of roads and paved trails starting from 60 acres and around Lake Sammamish. This is a relatively flat route where much of the riding is off busy streets. We will stop for coffee/snacks at Peets Coffee near the Whole Foods in Redmond. We will regroup at the top of hills and at turns.
Please meet in the parking lot no later than 10 am and be ready to ride. There are Honey Buckets at the ride start but no water so please come with full water bottles.
We will start with a required safety briefing and then begin riding when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
If you are unsure of your pace or are a new rider, please contact me to determine if the pace would be appropriate.
There will be a coffee stop at mile point 25 at Peets Coffee. Please bring money if you wish to purchase coffee/snacks.
If a rider has a mechanical issue, we will stop to assist the rider. If there is a major mechanical issue preventing a roadside fix, we will ensure the rider has a safe means to return to the start or home. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
Helmets are required.
If you don’t have full fenders and the roads are wet, you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
We hope you will join us!
