TREATS: Snohomish Everett Loop (Steady)
Event has already happened.
... of 20 spots remaining
This will be a steady paced ride (12-14 mph) starting at Pilchuck Park in Snohomish. The first 9 miles of the ride are through gently rolling hills on the north side of the Snohomish River. We then cross the Route 2 trestle and explore the roads in Everett for much of its north-south length. Starting about mile 26 we have just over a mile of fairly steep downhill onto the Lowell-Snohomish River Road so please be sure you have good brakes. The last 6 miles back to the start are on the south side of the Snohomish River and are fairly flat. In Snohomish, just before the end of the ride, we will stop at the Snohomish Bakery. Restrooms and water are available in Legion Park at mile 14; restrooms are also available at mile 27.
Please be ready to ride at 10:00. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that’s done. If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group. If you cannot make the ride, please unregister so that someone else may participate.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
