Join us for a ride from Log Boom Park in Kenmore on a clockwise 28.6 mile North Lake Washington loop route at Moderate Pace of 14-16 MPH. Please note that this route utilizes multi-use paths where we will stay below the 15mph speed limit, and we will slow down for trail traffic. Ride pace maybe be slower on hills and headwinds and faster on descents. We will regroup at the top of hills and stop lights.
Ride around Lake Washington and enjoy views of the lake and UW Stadium on a fun fast ride. The route is clockwise from Log Boom Park towards downtown Kirkland. We will ride stout ascents and fast descents on Juanita Drive and Holmes Point Drive. We will briefly stop at about mile 10 to take pictures and socialize at the Kirkland Marina. We will utilize the wide 520 Bridge multi-use trail on our way to the UW stadium and campus. Finally we will ride the multi-use Burke Gilman trail back to Log Boom Park.
Let's meet at the restrooms at Log Boom Park, 17415 61st Ave NE, Kenmore, WA 98028. Please park just outside of park gate along the Burke Gilman trail on NE 175th St. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Restrooms are available at the start and at mile 10 at the Kirkland Marina.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
