Monday Outdoor Riding in the Evening - Discovery Park, Queen Anne, Magnolia, S. Lake Union - (Steady)
Event has already happened.
... of 20 spots remaining
Monday Outdoor Riding in the Evening is back! We are ready to lead you through some new and interesting areas plus revisit some favorites.
Let's meet at Lower Woodland Park between the ballfields and near the porta-potties. Be there, ready to go at 5:50 pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This week our ride goes west and south. Get ready to ride up into Discovery Park just after passing the Ballard Locks. From there we begin our descent through Queen Anne and Magnolia. On the way we are treated to beautiful views of Elliot Bay. We go over the Thomas Street Overpass on our way to S. Lake Union. And as always our goal is to have fun, get some training in and be social.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will stay together.
Porta-potties are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water.
This is mentored ride. Join us in supporting an upcoming CBC Ride Leader!
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
Looking forward to riding with you soon!
