Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer Northwest parking lot at the time listed above. We will start with the required safety briefing, and ready to roll out at when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Hills out of Auburn HOOA! We will be climbing into the SE King County Wilderness to quiet Lake Morton, up into Kanaskat and the Town of Cumberland. We will loop around to Nolte State Park for a brief bathroom break, and head back to 4 corners Enumclaw. Then back into the woods we go to find Green River Gorge bridge, a jaw dropping 440 ft above the river. By this time, you've well-earned your treat, so we'll stop at the Black Diamond Bakery for a few minutes before we descend into Green Valley for a meandering ride through historic farmlands.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and then regroup. Otherwise, we pretty much stay together.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for porta potty at mile 17, bathroom and water at Nolte Park mile 28, Bathroom water and treats at Black Diamond Bakery mile 41 . Optional porta potty breaks are at miles 3 and 41.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
