Hills Out Of Auburn - Lake Morton, Green Valley Loop (Brisk)

Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer on 10th Street NE in the Northwest parking lot. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. 

Hills Out of Auburn HOOA! We will ride into the Southeast King County wilderness visiting quite Lake Morton, then buzz by Lake Sawyer on our way to Black Diamond. We will be rewarded with a fun descent into the Green River Valley, and follow the river out through historic farmlands.  If we are lucky, Mt. Rainier will be out in all of her glory.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup at the end of the hills. There are NO multi use paths on this route.

Restrooms available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Ten Trails Park in Black Diamond mile 17. There are optional bathroom stops at miles 19 and 26. Make sure to bring snacks and water, there are no other planned stops.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. Bring a white light for the front and red light for the rear of your bike, in the event we are riding in the dark.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
