Renton Beacon Hill Version 4 (Moderate)

Join me for a ride from Old Renton City Hall on a 35.9 mile route at Moderate pace (14-16 MPH). The pace of this ride is based on having no wind and being on a flat road. If there is a headwind or a hill, the pace will be lower, if we have a tailwind or downhill, the pace may be higher. Due to the number of similar routes I lead version numbers are used, versions of the same ride may have very different elevation profiles, keep this in mind when deciding to do this ride.

We will ride along Lake Washington climb up to Newcastle before heading around Mercer Island on our quest for coffee.

Let's meet at the Old Renton City Hall  for our pre-ride safety briefing. We'll roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.  

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup as needed. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at the points listed below.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride
