Evening in Gig Harbor (Moderate)

Evening group ride in Gig Harbor.  We'll meet in front of Trek Bicycles - Gig Harbor on Kimball shortly before the shop closes.  We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We're going to do a loop around Gig Harbor, part on Cushman Trail and part on rural and low speed city roads.

Ride leader will be going at a moderate pace (this is defined as 14-16 miles per hour on flats without wind).  You are encouraged to download the route as you are welcome to go on your own at your own pace if your pace does not match the ride leader's. We're going to regroup occasionally and will plan to meet up for optional post ride socializing at Wet Coast Brewing Company (tasting room) in the same strip mall where we started. 

Make sure you have a front headlight in case we are out after dark. Red tail light highly recommended - a red back reflector okay. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.

Come out on a weeknight and ride - we'll keep doing it if people show up!
