Woodinville Social Ride 2 (Note: 10:00am Start)

Join us for a ride starting from Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville on a 42-mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 mph on the flats.) This is a route starting on the Eastside that merges hill climbing with some flat terrain using bike trails, bike lanes and quiet neighborhood streets. 

Now that we are into the New Year of 2022, it is time to get back on (or continue) our riding during this cooler and sometimes more challenging weather. Rides like Chilly Hilly (and more) are not far off. This week we will ride up the Sammamish Plateau and ride around Beaver Lake. 

We will have a short rest stop at Ebright Creek Park at mile 15.6, a short coffee break / rest stop at Safeway/Starbucks at mile 26.1, and a rest stop at Marymoor Park at mile 32.7. A downloadable ride map and cue sheet for GPS navigation devices is at the Link, below.

Let's meet at the Wilmot Gateway Park by the tables under the pergolas in the park at 10:00 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend the major hills at our own pace and will regroup at the top as needed.  Parts of the route are challenging and if you cannot hold the posted pace you may have to finish the ride on your own.  If you don’t have a GPS unit or cell phone guidance, please print a cue sheet so you can navigate the route.

Restrooms and water are available at the start and at the rest stops. Please bring any snacks you may want to have during the ride. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
