Kirkland Social Ride

Join us for a steady, social, occasionally hilly ride from Kirkland over our two floating bridges on Lake Washington.  We will head south from Kirkland to the 520 Bridge and westward toward Seattle but, at the end of the trail, we will turn left this week (as opposed to right last week!) and head south to the Interstate 90 Floating Bridge where we will head to Mercer Island.  We will cross Mercer Island and then head north thru Beaux Arts to Medina & Bellevue and returning finally back to Kirkland.  The route starts/ends at Heritage Park in downtown Kirkland with optional restroom stops at Kirkland Marina Park (0.4 miles) and at Madrona Park (11 miles).    This is a mid-week ride on bike friendly roads and trails with a coffee/food stop on the route which will be on Mercer Island (16.0 miles).  There are hills, but we climb them at our own pace and always regroup at the top.  Don and Jane will be gone again this week so we will do our best with your help to try to keep the series rides going! 

Please arrive in time to be ready to ride at the start time, 11:00 a.m. 

Online Registration - Please register for the ride using the Register Tab.  If your name is on the online waiver you will not need to sign at the start.  If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.

Route – Download the ridewithgps file or print the cue sheet.

Weather:  Showers Cancel - The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should the weather forecast indication that conditions meet that definition or worse (rain, snow, ice, fog, wind, etc.).  Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start
