Join us for a 20 mile, 1360' elevation gain as we bike through the neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, International District, Mt. Baker, Leschi, Madrona, Montlake, University District and Green Lake. Along the way, we will visit Volunteer Park, the Daejeon Pagoda, Mt. Baker Ridge Viewpoint, the Leschi Natural Area, a boardwalk through the trees in Madrona, and the Drumheller Fountain at the U of W. There will be a few short sections on paved and unpaved pathways, and there will be at least one optional hill climb offered for the climbing enthusiasts. Those not wishing to do the optional hills will get short rest breaks while the climbs are being done. We will re-group on the tops of all major hills. Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.
Please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.
The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above. The ride leader will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information. If you have questions about the weather or air quality, please call (or email) before you leave for the ride.
