FRIDAY RIDERS: Log Boom Park to Gas Works Park

Join me on a mostly flat, paved trail ride along the scenic Burke Gilman Rail Trail from Log Boom Park to Gas Works Park following the shores of Lake Washington. We start at the north end of the lake and head south passing by Matthews Beach Park, Sand Point and the University District. Look forward to a food/rest stop at the Essential Bakery Cafe in Wallingford at the half-way point.There is free parking at Log Boom Park but be aware of the 4 hour limit. Restrooms and water available at the start. Meet at 10:45 AM to ready your bike and listen to a safety briefing. We leave promptly at 11 AM. Please carry a spare inner tube, inflation device and be prepared to fix a flat tire. Helmets must be worn! When weather is inclement, check the 'comments section' for a cancellation notice. The ride leader may cancel 2 hours prior and not appear at the ride start location. Rainy, cold, slippery, icy, snowy conditions cancel the ride.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
