Event has already happened.
... participants registered
Grab your bike and join me on a 17 mile, leisurely paced ride (with some hills) from Kirkland’s Crestwoods Park to the Medina neighborhood in Bellevue. Free parking, bathrooms and water are available at the start. We will meet near the restrooms. Walk you bike a short distance to the Cross Kirkland Corridor trail, a nice dirt/gravel trail suitable for all bike tires. The unpaved trail takes us through a forested Kirkland neighborhood for a couple of miles to the S. Kirkland P & R. Then cycle to the 520 trail off NE Points Drive and follow to Medina’s upscale neighborhood and enjoy cycling past beautiful homes and gardens looping around the Overlake Golf Club. Restrooms are available at Medina Park. Return to Kirkland and follow Lake Washington Blvd. to the Carillion Point Starbucks for a food stop so bring some money or credit card. Continue to Marina Park (bathrooms available) then uphill on Market Street and back to Crestwoods Park. There are a few hills on this ride totaling 952 ft. of elevation gain. No pre-registration available for this ride.
Direction from Market Street in Kirkland, near Juanita Bay Park, turn on 18th or 19th Ave and travel east to Crestwoods Park.
Please bring spare tube, CO2 inflation or pump to fix your own flat.
If weather is inclement check the comments section for ride cancellation notice. A notice will be posted 2 hours prior to meet time and the ride leader will not appear at the start.
