WRUMPS Snohomish, Ebey and Everett
A fairly easy Moderate ride along the Snohomish River and rural roads, some residential and a little urban.
The hills are gentle, and we'll wait for riders to catch up if necessary.
Lunch at La Petite Bakery in downtown Everett.
Views of the Snohomish River, Mt Baker, Everett waterfront estates, Scoop Jackson Park, and a side trip to the mysterious North Ebey Island.
If you ride Steady, this might be a good introduction to low-end Moderate (the leader keeps a lid on things). Faster riders are welcome to sprint ahead, but please print or request a map, since it is easy to become lost out there.
From Seattle, SR 9 N, exit on Second Street in Snohomish just across the Snohomish River bridge, turn right, go about 1 mile East, left on Maple, go about 1/2 mile North. Park alongside the Centennial Trail just past the corner of Maple Ave and Pine St. (Please do not park at the trailhead parking lot because it is reserved for the Boys & Girls Club).
Try to be there early enough to set up your bike and listen to the safety talk. We leave at 11:00 am.
If weather conditions stated merit cancellation of the ride, the ride leader may not show up at the start. Also you may check back here after 9:00 am for Comments, or call the leader at 425.273.4156 after 9:00 am.
