This is a challenging loop along three minor passes: Stampede, Tacoma, and Keechelus Ridge. At 67 miles/6700' this ride would make a great training ride for those registered for GF Winthrop or similar challenge. The route is here https://ridewithgps.com/routes/16336664
There is an option to ride 2 of the passes and return along the Iron Horse trail. This route is 52 miles and 4000' seen here https://ridewithgps.com/routes/14042292
I typically post my gravel rides one pace below where I would for a road ride. However, "pace" in the Cascade sence is not very meaningful as there is very little that is flat or smooth. I find that I cover an average 10 miles for every hour of saddle time, sometimes a little less. This is a hard ride. We will regroup at the summits and at major intersections. Every attempt will be made to accommodate a range of abilities, but if you are far off the pace you should be prepared to self navagate. If you are not as familiar riding gravel, are under-biked or doubt your fitness, the 2-pass option is a good choice.
BE PREPAIRED. These are mountains. It gets cold quickly, you are not near anything, and your phone will only work to track your Strava/take pictures. Plan your hydration and nutrition accordingly. A hydration pack is strongly recommemded as is GPS navagation (no cue sheets provided). Bring at least two tubes and enough air. There are restrooms at the start, and services in the form of a minimart in Easton at mile 40.
I think this route is good with 35mm tires or better. 32's might work if you have very good bike handling skills and the weather has been good (it is often muddy along Kachess Lake) or you opt for the 2-Pass Loop. Personally, I'd suggest something like the Clement MSO 40 or Teravail Cannonball setup tubeless.
A Discovery Pass is required to park.
