A Social Ride for Newer and Returning Cyclists: Green Lake to Cascade Bicycle Club

Just getting into, or back into, bicycling? Want to ride with others on a route with no navigation challenges? You can even rent a bike from Recycled Cycles (see link below for rental bike reservation)! This ride will have two start locations. We will make the first start at Green Lake Fitness where we will be joined by some cyclists from the Heart Zones Indoor Cycling Class. The group will then ride to Recycled Cycles where we can pick up our second group of riders who can rent bicycles from Recycled Cycles.

This ride has two start locations, the first is Greenlake Fitness with the ride leaving at 10am. The second is at the Boat Street Recycled Cycles for those who want a shorter ride or need to rent a bike. If you are starting from Recycled Cyles, please arrive by 10 a.m., and be prepared to leave (waiver signed, bike rented or ready to go, listened to group safety briefing) by 10:20 a.m.

We will ride along the Burke Gilman trail to Cascade Bicycle Club to look at the new facilities and then return on the trail to Metropolitan Market for refreshments and then back to Recycled Cycles and out starting location. This is a great ride for those who are unsure about how far they want to go; ride distance can vary from around 4 miles (Recycled Cycles to Metropolitan Market and back) to about 15 miles round trip Greenlake Fitness to Cascade Bicycle Club.

We'll talk about group and safety at Green Lake Fitness and also at Recycled Cycles.
