Join us on this beautiful ride to celebrate Sue Krezelak's last day of work and her retirement! This is a fun, social ride along Lake Washington. We'll head out of Renton and ride along the west side of Lake Washington to Leschi, enjoy a late afternoon coffee, tea and treat, and ride back along the west side of the lake to Renton. The ride will start and finish at the south end of the Burnett Linear Park. There are no bathrooms at the ride start; however, we will stop at the 7 mile mark, Seward Park for a brief restroom stop. There is a Chevron/Brown Bear Wash near the ride start with a restroom (Talbot Rd & S Grady Way).
Pace: Ride will be at high steady/low moderate pace (13 -15 mph), and we will regroup at the top of hills for a reasonable amount of time. Be sure to download the route or print the cue sheet. See the links below.
Requirements: Helmets are required. Fenders are also required if the roads are wet or there is any chance of rain. Please arrive 20 minutes early in order to sign the liability release, check-in and hear the safety S.M.A.R.T. briefing. We leave promptly at 4:30 PM. Please ensure your bike is in good working order before joining and come prepared with the requisite tools and knowledge to fix flats and minor mechanical issues. Spare tube, tire irons, pumps or CO2, and allen tools are recommended.
Sign Up: Preregistration is encouraged for this ride prior to the day of the ride. If you preregister via the Cascade website, please be sure to check in when you arrive for the ride and check your name off on the waiver.
