Discovery Park Lighthouse, Sunset Park & Carkeek Park

Join us for a 22 mile, 1600-foot elevation gain ride as we tour Magnolia, Discovery Park (including a visit to the lighthouse), the Ballard Locks, Sunset Park, Sandel Park, and Carkeek Park.  The pace will be moderate but may feel like brisk effort because of the hills on the route.  There will be an optional extra hill climb in Phinney Ridge for those who are eager for a little more.  And for those who want a little less, there is the possibility of waiting for a few minutes while the rest of the group descends and then ascends the road to the Discovery Park Lighthouse (which would lower the total elevation of the ride by about 260 ft.).  Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.  

Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.

I will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above. I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the Contact information.
